Solutions Consultant

Location: Burlington, MA

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility will be to deliver code assessment services to customers interested in determining compliance to third-party licensing and encryption policies.
• Develop a detailed understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the BDS application, architecture, and development tools to properly and creatively use features to meet client needs.
• Provide guidance for business decisions from a technical perspective on issues such as: performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-3 years of development experience, preferably with C++ or Java.
• At least three (3) years experience in a technical business environment with specific focus in software development and/or software implementation.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, including internationally.
• Ability to read/review source code and other software objects and make decisions based on understanding the code.
• Good oral, written and presentation skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with software development tools, including IDE’s, Code Repositories and Build Tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with open source software, third party licensing, open source approval processes and license compliance governance is highly valued and considered a plus.
• Experience working with database technologies, client/server architectures, Linux OS, and integration via SOAP API’s is also valued and considered a plus.
• Knowledge of software encryption technologies is considered a plus.
• Any customer facing experience is considered a plus.
